FAQ: Error Message on startup: Failed to load extension
When starting the FRAMR. Player, the following message appears:
This message indicates an internal issue while loading an extension. As a result, the player might not display content correctly.
Temporary error in the player’s local cache
Incomplete or corrupted extension file
Outdated firmware causing a conflict when loading the extension
Restart the player
Open the player interface.
Select Restart from the menu.
Check if the error message disappears after the restart.
Clear the cache
In the player settings, click Clear cache.
Then restart the player.
Trigger a firmware update
Start the update and wait until the process is complete.
Restart the player after the update.
If the error persists after these steps, please contact FRAMR. Support so that a technician can check the configuration and take further action.
