FAQ: Firmware update on my player is not possible
If your FRAMR Player is unable to perform a firmware update, it is usually due to a network issue or a failed connection to our update server. Below are the most common causes and their solutions.
Possible Causes and Solutions
1. No Internet Connection
Your player requires an active internet connection to perform firmware updates. Make sure that:
a LAN or WLAN cable is properly connected.
the player can access the internet through the network.
a DHCP server is available or a static IP address has been configured correctly.
The player must be able to access the following domain:
Please check:
whether your network uses firewalls or security rules that block outgoing connections.
whether the domain firmware.framr.tv resolves correctly via DNS.
whether ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS) are open for outgoing connections.
If you’re unsure, pass this information on to your IT department.
3. Outdated or Incorrect System Configuration
In very rare cases, an incorrect configuration can prevent updates from being executed.
Solution: Reset your player to factory settings.
