Uninstallation Guide – Remove Autostart for FRAMR.Player on Windows
Important Notice
- Changes to the Windows Registry can affect the system’s startup behavior.
- Only perform these steps if you are certain that you want to remove the FRAMR.Player autostart.
- Administrator privileges are required.
- Recommended: Create a system restore point beforehand or export the registry (regedit → File → Export) as a backup.
Uninstallation via the Registry Editor
Press CTRL + ALT + DEL → select Task Manager.
In Task Manager: go to File → Run new task.
Type regedit, check “Create this task with administrative privileges”, and click OK.
Navigate to:
- Look for the entry:
- Double-click on Shell and change the value to:
- Save the changes
- Press CTRL + ALT + DEL and restart Windows.
Verification
After the restart, Windows should boot normally and display the standard Desktop Explorer.
No Chrome window should automatically launch in kiosk mode.
If the PC does not start properly, boot into Safe Mode and repeat the process to reset the registry entry manually.
