Configure modules: 1. Basics
Display duration
Available display duration options
- Standard display duration
The default display duration (e.g., 10 seconds) is defined in the playlist settings. This time is used if no individual duration is specified for a module. - Display indefinitely
The content remains visible until you remove it manually or another mechanism takes over (e.g., a schedule or prioritization). This is ideal for permanent notices, background images, or welcome messages. - Custom display duration
You can specify an individual display duration in seconds. This lets you define exactly how long a single module is shown — for example, 45 seconds for an image with a lot of text. - Display until a specific time
This advanced feature allows you to set an exact time until which a module remains visible. After that, it is automatically deactivated — accurate to the second. This is done using a cron-like expression.

- Single value: 10 (e.g., 10 minutes past the hour)
- Range: 8-17 (e.g., between 8 AM and 5 PM)
- List: 0,15,30,45 (e.g., every quarter hour)
- Steps: */15 (every 15 minutes)
- Wildcard *: means “all possible values” — for example, every minute or every hour
Note: By default, * is set for minutes, hours, and days, and 0 for seconds.

When should you choose which display duration?
Scenario | Recommended option |
Uniform duration for many slides | Standard display duration |
Continuous loop without control | Display indefinitely |
Different durations per module | Custom display duration |
Content needs an end date | Display until a specific time (Cron) |
