Map layer

Here is a compact guide for using map layers in the FRAMR. map editor. It shows you how to create new layers, define their dimensions and positions, and insert background images – ideal for creating structured, multi-level map views.

You can easily add a new layer in your map editor by clicking on “Add Layer” in edit mode. The layer will be created immediately. If you want to edit it, select the desired layer and click on the gear icon labeled “Edit Layer.”

In the opened window, you can customize the properties of the current layer. The following settings are available:

Title: Give the layer a meaningful name – for example, “Ground Floor” or “Basement Storage.”

Width & Height: Define the size of the layer in pixels.

Height Above Ground: Set the vertical distance of the layer from the ground in centimeters.

Example: A layer at ground level would have a value of 0 cm. A basement five meters deep would be entered as –500 cm.

Template Image: Upload an image to use as a reference while drawing the map. This image is only visible in the editor and will not appear on the final map.

Background: Upload a visible background graphic for the layer – it will appear directly in the map view within the Directory module.

These settings help you create precise and well-structured maps with multiple layers.
