Navigation
The support page on “Navigation” explains how to create navigation paths on your map using waypoints. The guide provides a clear step-by-step explanation for creating and managing paths in the FRAMR. map editor. These paths allow you to link different layers together and build a structured, multi-level navigation system – ideal for complex buildings like shopping malls or offices.
Create and Edit Waypoints
Create waypoints:
Double-click to place a new waypoint at the desired position on the map. You can add as many points as you like to trace paths.

If you want to remove a point, right-click on it and select “Delete waypoint.”

Click on a placed waypoint and open the “Edit” section to give the point a custom name – especially useful if you want to link it to other layers later.
Title:
The title is the displayed name of the waypoint, which you can assign freely. It helps with better overview and recognition, especially if you use many waypoints on the map or connect them across multiple layers. A meaningful title – for example, “West Stairs Ground Floor” or “Elevator Access Upper Floor” – will make editing, linking, and managing navigation much easier later on.
Connection Type:
Here you specify how the transition between two waypoints behaves – e.g., stairs, elevator, ramp, or standard path. This information helps later in selecting optimal or barrier-free routes and improves the map’s display.

To link a waypoint with any other waypoints across all layers of a map, select in the “Connections” section all the points it should be connected to. This creates complete, walkable routes on your map, even across multiple levels.
