Player Settings

In Player settings, you configure device-specific values for a single FRAMR. Player. These include the name, default language, tags, location, output scaling, notifications, screenshots, emergency mode, and additional operating options.

Name
Use Name to assign a clear name to the player. Choose a meaningful name so you can identify the device in overviews, status screens, and support cases.

Default language
Use Default language to define which language the player uses for localized content. This setting affects content and modules that support multiple language versions.

The available languages depend on the languages enabled for the group. You can enable additional languages in the Group settings under Available languages.

The player’s default language does not change the language of your Cockpit interface. You manage your personal Cockpit language in your user account.

Tags
Use Tags to categorize players freely. Tags help you sort, filter, and find devices. Previously used tags may be shown as suggestions.

Location
In Location, you can store the player’s geographic position using Latitude and Longitude. If the map feature is available, you can also select the position with Open map.

Output scaling

Use Output scaling to adjust how the output is displayed on the connected screen.

• Width: sets a custom output width.
• Height: sets a custom output height.
• Offset X: moves the output horizontally.
• Offset Y: moves the output vertically.
• Rotation: rotates the output in degrees.
• Zoom: scales the output.

Automated actions

Use Automated actions to run specific commands independently of a playlist. Actions can run on a schedule or when the player starts.

Examples include HDMI-CEC, reboot, application restart, cache wipe, software or firmware update, and RS232, TCP, or UDP commands.

Notifications

In Notifications, you define when FRAMR. should notify you about player issues.

Define notification timeframe
Limits notification checks to selected weekdays and times.

Network errors
Notifies you if the player stops communicating with FRAMR.

Playout errors
Notifies you if the player does not report recent content changes.

HDMI disconnect
Here you can define whether FRAMR. Cockpit should show a notification when an unplugged HDMI cable or missing HDMI connection is detected for this player.

When the function is enabled, FRAMR. indicates a possible interruption of the display connection. This is especially useful for black-screen cases because it helps identify whether the issue is likely related to the physical display connection.

When the function is disabled, this HDMI notification is not actively shown for the player. The player may still be online and running content; display issues then need to be checked using player information, a screenshot, or an on-site inspection.

Screenshots

In Screenshots, you define whether and how often the player sends screen captures to the Cockpit: disabled, every 5 minutes, every 15 minutes, every hour, or every 24 hours.

Emergency mode

In Emergency mode, you define how the player should behave during an emergency activation.

  • Emergency mode disabled
  • Check attached local device
  • Get emergency data from remote source

Additional settings

  • Enable player: defines whether the player is active.
  • Preload group data for extended offline usage: preloads group data for offline operation.
  • Enable automatic software update: allows automatic software updates.
  • Notes: stores internal player information.
